Munich New Wave Short Film Festival Screening
Munich New Wave Short Film Festival Screening - May 19, 2023
The in-person screening of the Munich New Wave Short Film Festival concluded successfully with the attendance of short film enthusiasts.
Our aim in showcasing a selection of winners from previous editions of the festival was to foster a cultural and artistic atmosphere for filmmakers and establish a connection between their ideas and the experiences of cinema-goers and art enthusiasts.
Among the films presented, the audience in the theatre voted for the best film through a survey.
"Freedom," directed by..., received the most votes and claimed first place, with "Help" and "Lost in the Moment" following in second and third place, respectively.
Thank you for being an integral part of our community and for showing your support.
New Wave Short Film Festival is a newly-founded festival based in Munich (Germany) that aims to create an opportunity for emerging filmmakers. Our goal is to support low budget films that create new experiences and narrate unique stories with limited resources. Understanding how filmmakers around the world work, how young filmmakers get creative to get past the obstacles of production, and how their attempts can lead to a new form of cinema are among the things we care about. We strive to play a small role in the emergence of the new generation in the world of independent film-making by helping young filmmakers, actors, cinematographers, editors and producers to be heard and to get their messages across.

Online Screening
Our online screening will be held on our website. The procedure is as follows: We ask filmmakers to send us Youtube/Vimeo links for their films/shows/music videos, and we preview these links on our website (with a password-protected link).

Then those who purchase the tickets (plus the filmmakers themselves) will receive the link/password for the screening when it begins and they can watch as many films/shows as they like (please check our Filmfreeway page to see the exact dates for our online screenings)

This format has been used by many film festivals around the world as it is both secure and easy to access, and it won't be troubling for any of the parties involved.
